Changan’s EV brand Deepal unveiled its L06 model on November 18, 2025, in Chongqing, receiving over 20,000 orders in its first hour.

Preorders before November 30, 2025 come with a CNY 3,000 discount (pay CNY 999) and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (valued CNY 3,499), valid if customers take delivery by January 31, 2026.

The L06 is priced between CNY 132,900 and 156,900 (c. $18,700–$22,100), and is described by the company as a “long-range magnetic-ride laser intelligent sports sedan.”

The L06 is the first mass-production vehicle in China to use the fourth-generation MagneRide® magnetic ride suspension from BWI Group — the same adaptive damper system used in high-performance vehicles from Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Cadillac. The system adjusts damping up to 1,000 times per second, balancing comfort with sporty handling.

The vehicle is offered in two powertrain versions. The pure-electric model uses a 200 kW rear motor and is available with either a 56.12 kWh or 68.82 kWh CATL LFP battery, delivering 560 km or 670 km of CLTC range, respectively. It can fast charge from 30 % to 80 % in 15 minutes.

A second version combines a 1.5 L range extender (72 kW), a 175 kW motor, and a 28.39 kWh battery, offering 240 km of pure-electric range and a total range up to 1,500 km.

The L06 measures 4,830 mm long, 1,905 mm wide, and 1,480 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. Its design features a closed front grille, split “T” headlights, frameless doors and mirrors, and a fastback silhouette.

Inside, the interior features a 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen, a 50-inch AR-HUD, and a three-spoke steering wheel. Over 90 % of surfaces use soft-touch materials, and high-end versions offer 256-color ambient lighting and a zero-gravity passenger seat.

Deepal equips all L06 trims with LiDAR as standard. The vehicle’s intelligent systems include DEEPAL AD Max, powered by two Horizon J6M chips delivering 256 TOPS of compute power, along with a full sensor suite — 1 LiDAR, 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 3 mm-wave radars. Assisted driving functions include highway and city navigation assist, smart parking, remote and memory parking, and roaming assistance.

The cockpit features a 3 nm automotive-grade chipset, running the DeepSeek AI model. It supports 5G, dual-zone voice recognition, an in-car app store, remote control via smartphone, and in-car KTV.

Incentives at launch include a limited-time technology package valued at CNY 16,000–19,999, which covers advanced AD features, chassis upgrades, and special exterior color options.
