AVATR 06 design reveals familiar avant-garde elements

On December 9, AVATR unveiled the appearance of the AVATR 06, its upcoming mid-size sedan expected to debut by the end of the year.

The front design follows the brand’s design language with “7”-shaped LED daytime running lights that are now iconic to AVATR.

The roof welcomes a LiDAR unit to leverage Huawei’s Advanced Driving System (ADS) 3.0.

The AVATR 06 also features virtual exterior mirrors, electronic rearview mirrors, hidden door handles, and an active air intake grille.

The profile of the car adopts the fastback design popularized by Tesla, with black A/B/C pillars matching the window tint to create a distinct two-tone body design.

The AVATR 06 borrows the same rear design as the AVATR 12, which does not have a rear windshield window, and instead relies solely on the electronic rearview mirrors.

The car will measure 4,855 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height with a 2,940 mm wheelbase.

If the AVATR 07 is any indication, the pure electric version will offer a two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations.

We can also expect the extended-range to be equipped with a similar 1.5T engine with maximum power output of 115 kW and pure electric CLTC range of 220 - 230 km.

Since inception, AVATR has launched three models, the AVATR 11, AVATR 12, and AVATR 07. All vehicle models are now offered in both BEV and EREV versions.

The latest vehicle is the AVATR 07, launched on September 26, with a price of 219,900 - 289,900 CNY.

AVATR strategy to offer extended-range versions of its once only pure electric line-up has already paid dividends with sales rising above the 10,000 level in November 2024.

On a cumulative basis, AVATR has delivered a total of 45,442 vehicles in 2024, 133.5% YoY growth over last year.
