Chairman Wang Hui announced that Avatr plans to launch four jointly developed models with Huawei in 2026, expanding from one model this year. The company describes itself as Huawei’s longest-running and most broadly integrated automotive partner.

Avatr was created through cooperation among Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, operating as an independent premium EV brand with its own design and commercial responsibilities.
Since initiating its collaboration with Huawei in 2019, Avatr has incorporated Huawei’s smart-vehicle technologies into its product roadmap while producing vehicles through Changan’s manufacturing system. Its current lineup—Avatr 06, 07, 11, 12, 011, and 012—all use Huawei Qiankun ADS intelligent-driving systems. In April 2023, Avatr said its vehicles would shift to a native HarmonyOS infotainment platform starting later that year.

Huawei’s automotive business works with manufacturers under four frameworks. The Standard Component Supply model focuses on individual components. The Huawei Inside model offers a full intelligent-vehicle technology stack for integration into automakers’ products. The HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility Alliance model connects Huawei’s cockpit and connectivity solutions with partner OEMs.
The most extensive is HI PLUS, a joint-creation approach that covers product definition, user insight, channel development, and integrated marketing. Avatr previously worked with Huawei under the HI model but is now transitioning to the HI PLUS framework.

During the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, Avatr and Huawei said they would deepen their collaboration across technology, product planning, and commercial operations. They expect to jointly launch 17 models by 2030 across sedans, SUVs, and MPVs.
Future products will feature Huawei’s ADS Highway L3 intelligent-driving technology and a HarmonyOS cabin using MoLA to support more naturalistic in-vehicle interaction.

Avatr’s sales channels are increasingly connected to Huawei’s ecosystem. The full Avatr lineup is available for browsing and ordering in the Huawei Qiankun app. The companies have opened a co-branded Huawei Qiankun flagship store, and Avatr stores are adopting the “Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving” identity.
The companies are also rolling out a “Smart & Beautiful Seven-Star Service Plan”. This initiative includes upgrades to hardware presentation, service etiquette standards, and remote proactive support, with service coverage structured around five high-frequency use scenarios.

In October, Avatr and Huawei held a City Open Tournament for the Qiankun intelligent-driving system, drawing 24,000 users from 299 cities to test the technology in everyday traffic. At the Guangzhou show, Avatr’s brand ambassador delivered a vehicle to Huawei employees; since September, 4,000 Huawei employees have purchased Avatr vehicles.
The shift to HI PLUS places Avatr deeper inside Huawei’s automotive ecosystem at a time when China’s premium EV landscape is becoming more competitive, leaving open how joint-creation frameworks may influence brand differentiation in the coming years.
