On September 7, AVATR revealed its groundbreaking concept car, the VISION XPECTRA, led by the company’s Chief Design Officer, Nader Faghihzadeh.

A renowned Iranian-German automotive designer, Faghihzadeh is celebrated for his work on iconic BMW models and now brings his sculptural design philosophy and emotional luxury vision to AVATR’s electric future.

The unveiling at the 2025 Munich Motor Show, held at UTOPIA München, marked the global debut of AVATR’s first Emotional Intelligence (EI) concept car.

The event, titled “Brilliance Reimagined: AVATR Brand Day”, also showcased a full lineup of luxury EVs, including the Kim Jones co-designed AVATR 012, the Royal Theatre Edition of AVATR 11, the urban luxury SUV AVATR 07, and the sporty AVATR 06, forming a new matrix of intelligent luxury.

AVATR President Chen Zhuo emphasized the brand’s core philosophy: “AVATR is not just an electric car company. We represent high-end intelligence, driven by design and technology—but what truly defines us is emotion.”

This sentiment is embodied in the brand’s guiding concept of “Emotional New Luxury”, which seeks to redefine the aesthetics of future mobility through emotionally resonant design and intelligent systems.

The XPECTRA concept was born in AVATR’s Global Design Center in Munich, led by Faghihzadeh and supported by nearly 200 creative talents from 25 countries.

This multicultural team fused European design heritage with AVATR’s vision for intelligent mobility, resulting in a concept that is both bold and deeply expressive.

“The AVATR XPECTRA is an emotional intelligence companion—sculpted by energy and connected through emotion. Every journey becomes a declaration of emotional luxury,” said Faghihzadeh.

The vehicle’s name itself reflects this philosophy. “‘X’ represents flowing light, curves, and sculptural forms,” he explained. While Faghihzadeh defines the “X” explicitly, “PECTRA” perhaps draws from the word spectra, suggesting a broad emotional and sensory range—reinforcing AVATR’s vision of a vehicle that transcends function to become a deeply emotive companion.

Design-wise, the 5.8-meter-long body features diamond-cut geometry, a prismatic glass cabin, and a pillarless opposing-door layout. The full-length glass roof offers panoramic visibility, while the transparent interior elements—from headrests to control units—create a sense of weightlessness and futuristic elegance.

Inside, the XPECTRA is a multisensory sanctuary. Materials like Nappa leather, natural straw inlays, light-sensitive silk, and iridescent coated surfaces are woven together with 3D knitting and adaptive inflatable structures, crafting a luxurious and responsive environment. The cabin’s ambient lighting reacts to user movement and breathing, creating real-time emotional feedback.

Technologically, the car introduces “Emotional Vortex”, a central intelligence system that uses light, motion, and intuition to foster deep resonance between human and machine.

Features like the Smart Light Key (with gesture and touch control), transparent emotional display, and elemental voiceprint system—which generates a personalized voice assistant using sound waves and particle light—offer a fully immersive experience.
