BYD delivers over 436,000 NEVs as exports exceed 80,000 units again

In October 2025, BYD (HKG:1211) delivered a total of 441,706 vehicles, including 436,856 passenger vehicles. Model specific sales data were released on November 2 by auto industry source @小迪快报.

Overseas passenger vehicle deliveries reached 83,524 units, extending BYD’s international momentum.

BYD’s total sales were led by its two BYD series — Dynasty and Ocean — which together contributed 395,000 units, or nearly 90% of total volume.

Premium and specialty sub-brands also expanded their presence: Fangchengbao (FCB) sold 31,052 units, Denza delivered 10,135 units, and Yangwang added 654 units.

FCB, BYD’s off-road and performance sub-brand introduced in 2023, reported 31,052 units in October. The brand operates two parallel series — Bao and Tai — that target different off-road market tiers.

The Bao lineup, including the Bao 5 (3,510 units) and Bao 8 (1,005 units), focuses on rugged utility and mechanical four-wheel drive performance. The Tai lineup, consisting of the Tai 3 (6,513 units) and Tai 7 (20,024 units), aims at lifestyle-oriented users and leverages BYD’s dual-mode (DM) hybrid technology for improved efficiency.

The Dynasty series, BYD’s long-established family of plug-in hybrid and all-electric sedans and SUVs, sold 178,659 units in October. The Qin, a compact sedan available in both BEV and DM-i variants, led the series with 71,248 units, reaching a cumulative 529,599 units this year. The Yuan, a compact SUV, followed with 48,902 units, while the Song, Han, and Tang contributed 28,349, 13,710, and 14,460 units respectively.

The Ocean series, launched in 2021 and aimed at younger, design-conscious buyers, recorded 208,703 units. The Seal, a mid-size sedan competing with the Tesla Model 3, delivered 58,046 units and has sold 412,848 units year-to-date. The Seagull hatchback and Dolphin subcompact EV sold 36,604 and 26,766 units, respectively. The Sea Lion SUV family reached 53,988 units, while the Destroyer 05 sedan added 10,059 units.

Denza, the premium brand jointly developed by BYD and Mercedes-Benz, sold 10,135 units. The D9 MPV remained its top performer with 7,062 units, followed by the N9 crossover with 1,574 units. High-end models such as the Z9 GT and N7 contributed smaller shares.

At the ultra-luxury end, Yangwang, BYD’s flagship brand featuring the company’s e⁴ platform and independent four-motor powertrain technology, delivered 654 units. The U8 SUV led with 455 units, while the U9 supercar and U7 sedan added 2 and 197 units, respectively.

BYD’s October results showcase the breadth of its multi-brand structure, with the Dynasty and Ocean series driving mass adoption and brands like FCB, Denza, and Yangwang diversifying its market coverage across performance, premium, and luxury segments.
