MG announced on December 1, 2025 that the all-new MG4 achieved more than 13,000 official deliveries in November — defined as units registered with a vehicle sales invoice between November 1 and November 30.

The automaker also extended its purchase-tax protection subsidy for MG4 until December 28, to avoid buyers losing tax benefits due to cross-year deliveries.

Buyers who lock in orders by December 28 for certain MG4 variants — 437 Standard Range, 437 Free Edition, 530 Smart Edition or the Semi-solid State Core Edition — will remain eligible for tax protection even if delivery slips into 2026.
MG offers up to 27,000 CNY in reservation benefits for bookings made before December 31, 2025 (excluding some financial plans). The limited-time subsidy price range for MG4 is 65,800 to 99,800 CNY (c. $9,300 to $14,100).

The MG4, launched at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 29, 2025, is a compact electric vehicle aimed at budget-conscious, well-equipped segments. It features a 120 kW permanent-magnet motor producing 250 N·m of peak torque and a top speed of 160 km/h (≈ 99 mph).
Battery and range options include a 437 km (≈ 271 miles) LFP pack and a 530 km (≈ 330 miles) semi-solid-state pack supplied by Qingtao (Suzhou).

Interior features include a 503 mm extended front seat cushion, a flat footrest at 46.4° with ventilation and heating, and a fully flat rear floor with 522 mm rear seat cushions and 127° optimized seatback angle. The MG4 also includes a heated steering wheel and panoramic roof with sunshade.

The car runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip with a 15.6-inch 2.5K central screen. The system supports smartphone voice control, seamless app handoff, frictionless connectivity, “shake-to-navigate,” and includes an electronic column-mounted shifter, dual cup holders, and wireless charging.
MG lists five MG4 variants, measuring 4395/1842/1551 mm (length/width/height) with a 2750 mm wheelbase. The MG4 437 Flexible Edition is excluded from the current subsidy program.
