Huawei-backed high-end NEV brand Maexstro’s S800 executive sedan reached 10,000 cumulative deliveries on December 16, 2025 in China, 202 days after its market debut. The milestone positions the car as the top-selling model in the country’s ultra-luxury bracket above CNY 700,000 (c. $99,700), a segment long dominated by international brands.

The model, developed by Huawei and JAC under the HIMA cooperation framework, has seen consistent growth since its launch on May 30, 2025. The S800 overtook imported executive sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Porsche Panamera, and BMW 7 Series in September.
In November, its single-month sales exceeded the combined deliveries of the Panamera and 7 Series. Shifting consumer preferences for tech-enabled cars and rising confidence in domestic high-end manufacturing contributed to the S800’s success.

Pricing for the S800 ranges from CNY 708,000 to 1,018,000 (c. $100,800–$145,100) across four variants. The vehicle is positioned within the country’s million-class luxury EV market, where established German sedans remain its closest peers.
As of early December, Maexstro held more than 18,000 locked-in orders, indicating a pipeline of roughly 8,000 units still awaiting delivery. Monthly output has passed 2,000 units, and manufacturing lines are scaling toward 4,000 units per month.
