Lynk & Co Debuts Z10 Sedan: 806km Range, 800V 15min Charging

On September 5, Lynk & Co officially launched its first pure electric sedan, the Lynk & Co Z10, at a new car release event in Hangzhou.

The Z10, a C-class electric sedan, is available for a limited-time discounted starting price of 196,800 CNY (originally at 202,800 CNY), offering five different versions.

The Smart Driving Long Range Max version offers 806 km of CLTC range and an 800V architecture.

Built on Geely’s latest Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the Z10 features an 800V dual silicon carbide high-performance electric drive system, paired with dual-motor all-wheel drive.

The top trim can reach acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 250 km/h.

When it comes to range, the Lynk & Co Z10 impresses with a CLTC range of up to 806 km.

The vehicle also supports fast charging with a maximum charging power of 460 kW and a charging rate of 4.5C, allowing for 573 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging.

Design and Dimensions

Lynk & Co Z10

The Lynk & Co Z10, designed as a mid-to-large sedan, measures 5,028mm in length, 1,966mm in width, and 1,468mm in height, with a 3,005mm wheelbase.

It’s notably larger than the Tesla Model 3 (4,720/1,849/1,441 mm), offering more space and presence on the road.

At the rear, the Z10 features a hidden active rear spoiler that automatically rises by 15 degrees when the vehicle exceeds 70 km/h.

The taillights are designed with a continuous segmented light bar, mirroring the front light design.

The rear bumper integrates a body-colored exhaust design.

Luxurious Interior and Smart Features

Inside, the Z10 sports a minimalist design, equipped with a new dual-spoke steering wheel, a full-LCD instrument cluster, and an AR-HUD head-up display equivalent to 25.6 inches. The central control is handled by a 15.4-inch display.

All four seats in the vehicle are ventilated, heated, and come with massage functions.

The front seats include electric leg supports, while the rear center console has a smart touchscreen for adjusting seat positions.

The Z10 is powered by the new "Makalu" computing platform, featuring an AMD V2000A chip that offers 1.8 times the processing power of Qualcomm's 8295 chip.

No Imitation, Pure Originality

During the launch event, Lin Jie, Senior Vice President of Geely Auto Group and General Manager of Lynk & Co Sales, emphasized the originality of the Z10’s design.

He stated, “Without Porsche or Tesla, what would Chinese electric vehicles look like today? Lynk & Co does not need to imitate luxury to pay homage.”

Lin Jie also highlighted that while some user demographics overlap between Lynk & Co Z10 and Xiaomi Auto’s SU7, Lynk & Co holds advantages in safety and performance.

The Z10’s pricing starts at 196,800 RMB, while Xiaomi’s SU7 is priced from 215,900 RMB.

Lynk & Co’s Growing Success

Lynk & Co, a premium brand jointly established by Geely Auto Group and Volvo Cars, has seen strong sales growth.

In August 2024, the brand sold 22,528 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of over 20%.

Notably, sales of new energy vehicles accounted for 16,767 units, making up 74% of total sales.

From January to August 2024, Lynk & Co sold 169,800 vehicles, a 44% year-on-year growth.
