The NIO brand delivered 13,270 vehicles in May, a significant drop-off from 19,269 units in April, as the company transitions to NT2.5 “5566” models.

Meanwhile, the Onvo brand achieved 6,281 vehicles delivered, representing a month-on-month increase of 42.8% compared to 6,281 units in April.
In its first complete month of deliveries, Firefly delivered 3,680 vehicles. While the number is modest, it sets a reasonable baseline given its premium compact car positioning in a segment that is highly price sensitive.

As of the end of May, NIO's cumulative delivery figures have reached 760,789 vehicles. This includes 710,655 vehicles from the NIO brand, 46,223 vehicles from the Onvo brand, and 3,911 vehicles from Firefly.
The introduction of the 2025 versions of the ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5T has improved the company's lineup without increasing prices, which is expected to boost delivery results in upcoming months.

The ES6 and EC6 facelifts began deliveries on May 20, while the ET5 and ET5T followed a week later, starting on May 27, with 500 vehicle upgrades.
In an effort to stimulate sales, NIO has introduced promotional incentives, including 240 free battery swap vouchers for orders locked in by June 30. These vouchers equate to five years of free battery swaps, alongside other benefits like extended warranties and free roadside assistance.

Furthermore, the rollout of NIO's World Model (NWM) began on May 29, aiming to enhance the company's smart driving capabilities. The initial OTA update targets over 400,000 NT2.0 vehicles already on the road, with future updates to NT3.0 platform cars expected by the end of June.
Overall, May's sales results were mixed across the NIO Group, from the disappointing sales of the NIO brand amid the 2025 model refresh month, to Onvo sales reaching its second best single-month since launch, to Firefly selling nearly 4,000 units through its first full month of delivery.
