NIO delivers 13,863 Vehicles in January 2025, a 37.9% YoY increase

NIO has announced its latest sales figures, revealing that the company delivered 13,863 new vehicles in January 2025, marking a 37.9% year-on-year increase.
Among these, the NIO brand delivered 7,951 vehicles, while the Onvo brand delivered 5,912 vehicles.

As of January 31, 2025, NIO's cumulative deliveries have reached 685,427 units, with the NIO brand accounting for 658,754 units and the Onvo brand for 26,673 units.
NIO also becomes the first Chinese brand in the high-end pure electric market (>300,000 CNY) to surpass 600,000 cumulative deliveries.

However, compared to last month, deliveries dropped off by -55.5% from the 31,138 units delivered in December.
At the brand level, deliveries declined month-on-month by -61.4% for NIO and -43.8% for Onvo.

A recent report by the consulting firm Landroads highlighted that NIO's average transaction price in 2024 was 342,000 CNY, surpassing brands like BMW, Audi, and Lexus.
Despite the severe "price war" in 2024, NIO has maintained a market share exceeding 40% on the high-end pure electric market with an average transaction price above 300,000 CNY.

Automotive industry veterans believe that with the launch of several models under Huawei's HIMA alliance in 2025, Chinese brands will pose even greater pressure on traditional luxury brands.
It was also reported that over 56% of users who purchased NIO's NT2.0 models were former BMW, Benz, or Audi (BBA) owners, indicating that NIO is top of mind for higher-end car buyers.

The Onvo L60 achieved over 20,000 cumulative deliveries within 100 days of its launch.
In the second week of January 2025, the L60 ranked second in the Chinese fully electric SUV market with an average transaction price between 200,000 and 300,000 CNY, delivering 1,800 units.

Local media revealed that in first-tier cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, the L60 has consistently ranked second in the 200,000 to 300,000 CNY fully electric SUV segment
Despite the 37.9% year-on-year growth in January, NIO’s total delivery figures pale in comparison with XPeng and Li Auto, both of which delivered about 30,000 vehicles.

As XPeng moved significantly downward in pricing with the MONA M03 and P7+ and Li Auto predominantly only sells extended-range EVs, the closest comparable for January is Geely’s ZEEKR brand, which delivered 11,942 units.
