On September 30, NIO officially announced that deliveries of the ET9 Horizon Edition have begun with a purchase price of 818,000 yuan (c. $114,900) and a battery-rental (BaaS) option priced at 710,000 yuan (c. $100,000).

The ET9 was previously available in two trims, the standard and signature editions, starting at 768,000 yuan and 788,000 yuan, respectively or at 660,000 yuan and 680,000 yuan with BaaS.

The original ET9 began deliveries on March 29, 2025, and sold 810 units on its first full month of deliveries in April. However, sales have gradually tapered out to 682 in May, 307 in June, 85 in July, and 92 in August.

The Horizon variant is based on the existing ET9 model and features a two-tone body in Antarctic Star Blue + Moonlight Silver, with exclusive details and special badging.

The Horizon Edition retains the overall design of the current ET9 but offers a more refined look through its two-tone finish. The horizon design concept from NIO’s logo extends into a waistline running across the body, creating a natural transition between the two colors.

The ET9 features exclusive 23-inch wheels with laser-engraved and mirror-polished finish. The B-pillar and rear also carry special edition badges.

The car maintains the same dimensions as the standard ET9: length 5,324 mm, width 2,016 mm, height 1,620 mm, and wheelbase 3,250 mm and comes equipped with NIO’s in-house developed Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip.

At the rear, the Horizon Edition continues with the brand’s family-style full-width taillight design and is fitted with a class-exclusive gooseneck fully active rear wing, boosting its sporty character.

Inside, customers can choose from two interior styles. The car features a rectangular steering wheel and unique signed trim on the center console.

It introduces the creative “Sky Island” and “Executive Bridge” cabin designs, paired with the arched body structure to deliver a rear-seat experience comparable to business class.

Within the “Executive Bridge,” second-row passengers enjoy airline first-class-style seats with an extra-wide 582 mm cushion, offering 22-way power adjustment in front and 20-way in the rear. The rear seats also recline up to 135°, with one-touch access to 11 linked comfort functions.

The rear cabin includes a 360° infinitely adjustable executive table and an integrated smart refrigerator under the “Executive Bridge,” with a maximum capacity of 10L.

The fridge supports a temperature range from -2°C to 55°C and introduces a new room-temperature mode, offering a total of six preset modes.

The Horizon Edition is expected to carry over the existing ET9’s powertrain: a 900V high-voltage architecture with a 180 kW front motor and 340 kW rear motor, delivering a combined output of 520 kW and 700 Nm torque. The model offers a CLTC range of 650 km.
