NIO exceeds 100,000 battery swaps for 5th day with 2,000 employees on duty

On the eve of the Chinese New Year, NIO founder, Chairman, and CEO William Li extended his New Year greetings to all employees through an internal letter.

He expressed his gratitude to those who remained on duty during the Spring Festival, ensuring the safety and convenience of nationwide travel for users through battery swap services, travel support, and R&D testing.

During the Spring Festival, more than 2,000 employees from NIO Power’s operations team ensured the round-the-clock operation of 95% of the battery swap stations across the country.

William Li emphasized in his letter that the Spring Festival is a time for family reunions, and he thanked every colleague for their professionalism and dedication in safeguarding users' travel.

He acknowledged that NIO's growth is inseparable from the support of every colleague and their families.

He also wished employees health and safety and looked forward to the new year, saying, "Together with our users and partners, we will continue to power up."

Since January 23, the daily battery swap volume has exceeded 100,000 for five consecutive days.

The total battery swap volume during the holiday is expected to reach a new high supporting for NIO and Onvo vehicle users.

William Li's letter revealed that over 2,000 employees from NIO's service operations team were stationed at more than 330 service centers nationwide, offering 24/7 roadside assistance and online technical support to promptly address users' urgent needs.

Additionally, NIO deployed nearly 3,000 road service specialists in 341 prefecture-level cities, setting up 96 supply stations along peak travel routes to provide charging, vehicle maintenance, and material supply services, which were also available to non-NIO users.

Notably, over 1,000 NIO and Onvo brand stores nationwide launched New Year-themed activities, including children's red envelope giveaways, family photo sessions, and movie screenings, creating a festive atmosphere for users.

The R&D team continued to advance testing and upgrades in key areas such as vehicle engineering, autonomous driving, and digital systems during the holiday, ensuring new car deliveries and user experience optimization.

The factory and quality teams simultaneously ensured equipment safety and issue response.
