Ji Yue Automobile’s parent company submitted a pre-reorganization application to the Shanghai No. 3 Intermediate People’s Court, which officially accepted the filing on November 21, 2025. The court then appointed Zhong Lun Law Firm (Shanghai) as provisional administrator to oversee subsequent restructuring work.
The company said it seeks new strategic investors, plans to revitalize existing assets and resources, and aims to preserve enterprise value while ensuring vehicle owners’ after-sales rights. It pledged to maintain stable core business operations under the provisional administrator’s supervision to protect users’ legitimate rights.

Ji Yue was established in November 2021 through a joint venture backed by Baidu and Geely Holding Group. Its legal representative and CEO is Xia Yiping. The company’s registered capital was USD 400 million and, as of 2024, it insured 2,112 employees. Ownership rests with Jidu Automobile (Hong Kong) Ltd. In August 2023 the brand was renamed “Ji Yue,” and in October of that year it launched its first model, the Ji Yue 01.
Earlier this month, many owners reported the Ji Yue mobile app marked their vehicles as “offline,” disabling remote control functions. The company said a technical team launched an emergency response. By the morning of November 24 it confirmed restoration of all affected functions.

Pre-reorganization differs from liquidation in that it allows negotiation among the company, creditors and investors before a formal bankruptcy filing, improving restructuring success chances and reducing value loss.
With provisional oversight, Ji Yue aims to stabilize operations, secure after-sales support, regain investor confidence, and preserve enterprise value while exploring fresh capital.
