Stellantis-backed Leapmotor surges past 70,000 deliveries in October

Leapmotor reported total vehicle deliveries in October reached 70,289 units, representing a year-on-year increase of more than 84% and marking the first time the automaker exceeded 70,000 units in a month.

The company had already set a new record in September, delivering 66,657 vehicles and achieving a year-on-year jump of more than 97%, marking its first push above 60,000 monthly units.

On October 16, Leapmotor named singer and actor Fei Xiang as its first brand ambassador for its flagship “D” series, coinciding with the rollout of its new in-house “D platform” which embeds six major technology pillars including extended-range and 1,000-volt pure-electric systems, intelligent driving, performance control, safety, and comfort.

The company unveiled its first model built on that D platform, the D19 premium intelligent SUV, on October 19 and opened it for early reservation.

Earlier in October, the automaker revealed the interior of the upcoming Lafa5 on October 15, signalling a design direction that retains youthful DNA while raising materials and comfort refinements. The Lafa5 opens for pre-sale in November.

In addition, the firm confirmed the upcoming A10, the first model in its new A-series, will make its debut at Auto Guangzhou 2025.

Across its model lineup, Leapmotor rolled out OTA firmware upgrades in October for models including the B10, B01, 2024 editions of the C10, C16, C11, C01, and the 2026 versions of the C10 and C16 launched their first OTA updates on October 13.
