Tesla China delivers 19,700 units; 4,000 Model YL in the last week of Q3

September 22–28 insurance registration data for new energy vehicle (NEV) brands has been released, and as the final week of Q3, automakers are delivering as many cars as possible.

Of all NEV brands in China, Tesla ranked fourth with 19,700 units, including 4,000 Model YL made their way to customers. That figure outpaces new competing large SUV models like the Li Auto i8 (1,700 units) and Onvo L90 (2,600).

BYD remained the undisputed leader, with group-wide sales surpassing 103,000 units. Its Dynasty and Ocean series contributed 92,400 units.

The Fangchengbao (FCB) brand surged to 7,100 units thanks to the new Bao 7 (Titanium 7), which has already stabilized at around 3,100 weekly deliveries, becoming another growth driver for BYD.

Meanwhile, DENZA added 3,100 units, and Yangwang delivered just over 200 units, primarily the U7 and U8L.

Geely Galaxy posted 36,400 weekly sales, with the Starwish model contributing 14,500, showing no signs of slowdown.

Wuling held steady at 23,500 units, with the Hongguang Mini EV topping the weekly sales chart at 14,700 units—likely boosted by ending local subsidy rushes.

Leapmotor set a brand record with 16,000 deliveries, maintaining its lead among emerging NEV brands.

Xiaomi delivered 11,000 units, while Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (AITO, Luxeed, Maextro and others) totaled 14,700. AITO on a standalone-basis delivered 10,700, trailing Xiaomi by just 300 units.

AITO is expected to surpass Xiaomi in the coming weeks, as locked-in orders for the AITO M7 have already exceeded 60,000 and will begin deliveries in batches.

Last week, AITO delivered 5,400 units of the M8 (including 1,000 BEVs) and 2,600 of the M9 (400 BEVs).

Meanwhile, the Luxeed S9T sold about 400 units, and the Maextro S800 around 520. With this new product wave, Huawei’s HIMA brands are likely to break 20,000 weekly units and stabilize at over 70,000 monthly units.

NIO reached 10,800 weekly deliveries, with the NIO brand accounting for 5,200 units, including 2,000 of the new ES8.

Its mass-market sub-brand Onvo accounted for 3,800 units, with the L90 at 2,600. The Firefly compact car reached a record weekly result with 1,800 units.

XPeng and Li Auto showed slight fluctuations, with 10,400 and 8,600 deliveries respectively. Li Auto is expected to return to the 10,000 level once the Li Auto i6 begins deliveries.
