Tesla China launches major Model Y/3 sales incentives for year-end sales push

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has announced a new series of financial incentives and purchasing rights for the Chinese market, effective immediately through December 31, 2025. The sales promotion, released on November 27, offers interest-free financing and value-added subsidies to the Model Y and Model 3, designed to stimulate year-end demand.

The promotion introduces a 5-year, 0% interest financing scheme for all variants of the Model 3 and most configurations of the Model Y. Customers placing orders before the end of the year can secure a Model 3 or Model Y with a fixed down payment of 79,900 CNY (c. $11,300).

Monthly payments for the entry-level Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) start at 2,460 CNY (c. $300), while the Model Y RWD begins at approximately 3,060 CNY (c. $400). Tesla states that for the base Model 3, this financing structure saves buyers approximately 19,400 CNY (c. $2,700) in interest costs compared to standard loan rates.

For lower upfront costs, Tesla is concurrently offering a low-down-payment alternative starting at 45,900 CNY (c. $6,500). This option carries an annualized fee rate of 0.5% (approximately 0.92% annual percentage rate), allowing for flexible capital planning.

In addition to financing, the automaker introduced specific subsidies: Model 3 buyers purchasing insurance through cooperating agencies receive an 8,000 CNY (c. $1,100) deduction on the final payment.

Furthermore, referrals from existing owners grant new buyers an 8,000 CNY (c. $1,100) credit toward paint options, such as Starry Sky Grey or Deep Sea Blue, and a choice of three exclusive charging benefit packages.

The 2025 Model 3 lineup currently retails between 235,500 CNY (c. $33,300) and 339,500 CNY (c. $48,000). The newly listed Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant is priced at 259,500 CNY (c. $36,700) and boasts a CLTC range of 830 km (516 miles). The Performance All-Wheel Drive edition, priced at 339,500 CNY (c. $48,000), offers a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.1 seconds. Delivery estimates for the Model 3 stand at 4-6 weeks.
