Through Week 24 (June 9-15, 2025), Tesla China has demonstrated a robust delivery pace, with total deliveries reaching 15,500 units, of which 11,200 were Model Y and 4,300 were Model 3.
This strong showing represents a significant week-on-week increase of 80.23% in total deliveries compared to Week 23's 8,600 units.

It also represents the third-best weekly sales in 2025, just behind week 12 and 13, when Tesla delivered 16,900 and 20,700 vehicles in China, respectively.
The 11,200 units of Model Y delivered in week 24 also represent the second-best week of the year for the SUV model, just behind the 14,600 units delivered in week 13 (March 24-30).
Meanwhile, 4,300 units of Model 3 sold do not break any record, but still stands above the annual weekly average of 4.325 units.
Looking at the cumulative data for the year-to-date (YTD) through Week 24, Tesla China has delivered a total of 232,100 Tesla vehicles.
The Model Y has been the primary driver, contributing a substantial 148,700 units to the cumulative total. The Model 3, while a smaller share, has also added a significant 82,200 units to the YTD figures.

While recent momentum seems promising, Tesla will still need a heavy lift from the Model Y to match or beat last year’s sales, having sold 657,102 EVs in China.
In 2024, Tesla delivered a cumulative total of 657,102 electric vehicles in the Chinese market, including 480,309 Model Y, which accounted for 73.1% of total vehicles sold.

The auto industry is a highly seasonal business, with most sales coming from the latter half of the year (not to mention the Chinese New Year break in every first quarter). Hence, Tesla might still be able to surprise us.

However, Tesla is probably going to face the most serious threat to Model Y sales. Xiaomi reportedly moved up launch date of its first all-electric SUV, the Xiaomi YU7, from July to the end of June.
Considering that Xiaomi’s all-electric sedan, the SU7, already outpaced Model 3 sales in China, Tesla’s best-selling SUV will be tested like never before.
