Tesla has dropped a series of cryptic teasers hinting that its long-awaited affordable Model Y could finally be unveiled on October 7, 2025.

The announcement is expected to showcase Tesla’s vision of an affordable electric vehicle, following months of sightings of a new Model Y variant undergoing road tests across the U.S.

The first showed a close-up of what looks like the wheel hubcap. A follow-up teaser posted on Sunday featured split headlights, sparking debate among Tesla fans who thought it could be the long-delayed Roadster.

However, the lights matched those seen on the uncamouflaged Model Y prototype near Giga Texas, reinforcing expectations that Tesla will unveil the affordable Model Y on Tuesday.

Reports last week revealed that several prominent Tesla influencers and reviewers were invited to a private event at Gigafactory Texas.
Around the same time, photos surfaced online showing what appeared to be the budget-friendly Model Y, spotted near the facility without camouflage.

Compared to the current Model Y, the upcoming version seems to feature design tweaks inspired by the Model 3 sedan, including a cleaner front fascia and a closed glass roof.
The simplified appearance is a result of focus on minimizing production costs and making the vehicle more affordable to the mass market.
