Tesla to Roll Out V4 Superchargers in China, Supporting Third-Party Vehicles

On January 3, Tesla announced a significant upgrade to its charging infrastructure in China with the introduction of the V4 Superchargers.

This move marks a major step forward in Tesla's efforts to enhance its charging network in the country.

The V4 Superchargers, Tesla's fastest and most powerful charging equipment to date, boast a maximum charging power of 350kW, a substantial increase from the 250kW offered by the V3 Superchargers.

In addition to the increased power, the V4 Superchargers come equipped with longer cables, further improving the convenience and flexibility of the charging process.

More importantly, these new Superchargers will be open to a wider range of third-party vehicles, including future models.

Currently, Tesla has over 60,000 Superchargers worldwide, with nearly one-fifth of them located in mainland China, totaling more than 11,500 units.

Tesla's charging network now covers all provincial capitals and municipalities across mainland China.
