Nio Inc. (NYSE: NIO) sub-brand Onvo officially opened pre-orders for the updated L60 mid-size coupe SUV on May 29, 2026, on the first day of the 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show in Shenzhen, with an official launch and same-day deliveries set for June 11.
Buyers who pay a 1,000 CNY (c. $148) deposit receive a 3,000 CNY (c. $443) deduction at purchase, provided they lock in their order by July 31, 2026. In-store displays have already arrived at Onvo stores across China, with test drives scheduled from June 6.

Onvo L60 LiDAR sensor (Onvo)
The most consequential change is the addition of a rooftop high-precision LiDAR sensor — a direct reversal of Onvo's earlier position. In late January 2026, Onvo brand chief Shen Fei had stated that only the L90 would receive LiDAR, while the L60 would continue relying on a pure-vision solution. Falling sensor costs and intensifying competition in China's mid-size SUV segment appear to have driven the change.

The LiDAR version pairs with Nio's in-house 5nm automotive-grade chip, the Shenji NX9031 — the same chip used in the flagship Nio ES9 — under the Coconut+ smart driving system. Buyers can alternatively choose the Coconut system, which uses an Nvidia Orin X chip in a pure-vision configuration. Both variants are supported by Nio's World Model (NWM), enabling point-to-point full-domain navigation assistance and a new campus navigation feature.
The L60 retains its fastback silhouette, with dimensions of 4,828 × 1,930 × 1,616 mm and a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Exterior updates include a bolder front fascia, a cleaner rear, and blue ADAS indicator lights integrated into the wing mirrors. The rooftop LiDAR, arranged in a watchtower-style sensor layout, is the clearest visual distinction from the outgoing model. A new Interstellar Grey exterior color is paired with 20-inch Star Radiance wheels. The car runs on Nio's SkyOS operating system and uses a 900-volt high-voltage architecture.

Onvo L60 displays (Onvo)
Interior upgrades are concentrated in the rear cabin. A 17.3-inch 3K cinema-grade sky entertainment screen — Onvo says it is the only overhead sky screen in the mid-size coupe SUV segment — pairs with an 8-inch rear scene screen for vehicle control, which Onvo also says is a segment first for dual rear screens.
The rear gains a 6-liter smart hot/cold fridge, a 52-liter in-car cooler, 3-stage seat heating and ventilation, 2-way power seatback adjustment, privacy glass, and a folding tray table. The two-section panoramic sunroof shade leaves 980 mm of rear headroom when closed. A new Anlan Green Nappa leather interior theme is also offered.

Up front, the L60 now features a 17.2-inch 3K central display alongside a 13-inch HUD safety screen, NOMI Intelligence 4.0, the AI Xiao Le family companion, ONVO SOUND audio, and 16-million-color cabin ambient lighting. Trunk capacity stands at 763 liters, including a 139-liter sunken compartment.
Powertrain choices remain single motor (240 kW) and dual motor (340 kW), with 60 kWh and 85 kWh battery options. The new 85 kWh ternary lithium pack delivers up to 740 km (460 miles) of CLTC range at an energy consumption as low as 11.9 kWh per 100 km. The base configuration starts at 530 km (329 miles) of CLTC range.
Pre-sale pricing has not been disclosed. The current L60 starts at 206,900 CNY (c. $30,500) with the battery included, or 149,900 CNY (c. $22,100) under the BaaS battery rental scheme, with monthly rental fees from 599 CNY (c. $88). Onvo has indicated the new model will occupy a similar price band, with the LiDAR-equipped variant introducing a new upper tier.

Onvo delivered 5,352 vehicles in April 2026, up 21.64% year-on-year but down 22.18% from March. The L60 had seen monthly sales fall below 2,000 units in early 2026, a steep drop from over 10,000 in December 2024, making the updated model central to Onvo's second-half recovery.
Whether the LiDAR addition can reignite L60 demand — and at what price premium over the vision-only variant — will become clear on June 11.
Conversion rate: 1 USD = 6.78 CNY as of May 29, 2026
