Xiaomi’s first SUV and second pure electric vehicle codenamed MX11 will be unveiled at the end of the year and likely will debut in the first quarter of 2025.
The launch timeline will coincide with the much anticipated Tesla Model Y facelift, referred to as “Juniper”.

The Xiaomi MX 11 is expected to come in single-motor and dual-motor versions, with maximum power output of 220 kW and 495 kW, respectively.
The SUV will likely be priced within the 300,000 CNY level, closely tracking Tesla Model Y’s market positioning. The Model Y is currently discounted by 10,000 CNY, starting at 239,900 CNY and priced up to 354,900 CNY.

Famous Chinese car blogger by the alias of SugarDesign released a new set of renderings of the Xiaomi SUV.
The overall design of the SUV is relatively low to the ground, adopting a fastback shape and shares many design elements with the SU7, including the “M” shaped headlights and Saturn ring taillights.

However, the headlights will use a ventilation duct design and will not feature a double-door configuration akin to sports cars as previously rumored.
Xiaomi’s Founder and CEO Lei Jun was recently spotted testing the SUV on the road. Lei Jun seemed fairly satisfied with the test car, sharing a smile and greeting with a gesture the netizen that was filming him.

Whilst there is increasing excitement for the SUV, Xiaomi has ample order inflow, despite multiple rounds of production expansion, to the extent that the waiting line for an SU7 is still as long as 5 months.
