The first flying vehicle rolled off the line, establishing what the company described as the world’s first mass-production flying car assembly line. The factory has a floor area of approximately 120,000 square meters and is designed for production of the vehicle’s detachable flying module.

Annual production capacity is planned at 10,000 units, with an initial phase target of 5,000 units. XPeng HT stated that the facility can produce one flying vehicle every 30 minutes at full operational rate.
The units produced in the current stage will be used for flight testing and system verification, ahead of planned customer deliveries in 2026. XPeng HT reported that the Land Aircraft Carrier has accumulated approximately 7,000 pre-sale orders.

This model uses a split design consisting of a ground-based vehicle and a separate electric flying unit. The ground vehicle, described as a six-wheel, three-axle platform, provides 6x6 all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering.
It is intended to operate independently for daily urban use. The flying module is designed to dock with and detach from the ground vehicle through automated alignment and connection systems.

The ground vehicle is equipped with an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage range-extending platform, providing a driving range of over 1,000 kilometers (about 621 miles). It is capable of charging the flying unit while driving or when parked, supporting 5 to 6 flight operations on a full charge.
The flying module uses an electric six-rotor dual-duct configuration and incorporates carbon fiber materials in the body and rotor blades. A 270-degree panoramic cockpit design is intended to expand field of view during flight operations.
XPeng HT stated that the ground vehicle can be operated with a standard Category C driver’s license. The company also indicated a target pricing level below 2 million CNY (approximately 280,700 USD) per unit.

At this stage, the model is considered a two-seat flying aircraft that can be stored within the ground vehicle when not in flight mode.
The milestone signals XPeng’s continued interest in urban air mobility development at a time when regulatory frameworks, infrastructure readiness, and commercial adoption remain in early stages. It remains uncertain how quickly regional authorities and consumers will adopt mixed-ground-and-air transportation systems at scale.
