This year, XPeng's new products will feature in-depth collaboration with Huawei."

Huawei-XPeng Collaboration

Huawei and Xpeng have actually already collaborated on automotive projects for years. China Telecom, in partnership with Huawei, leveraged 5G+AI technologies to establish a joint project team with Xpeng.

The collaboration focused on the "radar assembly quality inspection scenario" for Xpeng's P5, P7, and G3 models, utilizing a "cloud-network-edge-device-application" integrated architecture to achieve industrial AI quality inspection for radar installations.

In 2024, the Xpeng P7+ model became the first to feature Huawei's HiCar app, enabling seamless device mirroring between Huawei Mate 70 smartphones and XPeng vehicles.

However, XPeng’s hint at future collaboration is unlikely via Huawei’s Tier 1 model called Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) as both companies are directly competing with industry-leading ADAS systems, XPILOT and Qiankun ADS 3.0.

HIMA currently features 4 brands: AITO (Seres Group), Luxeed (Chery), Stelato (BAIC BluePark), and Maextro (JAC Group).

Weekly sales XPeng

From January 1 to February 9, XPeng ranks third in sales with 35,747 vehicles delivered amongst emerging NEV brands, just behind HIMA and Li Auto, with 37,761 and 35,849 units delivered, respectively.
