The first MONA M03 units were produced in August 2024, reaching 50,000 units by December, 100,000 by March 2025, and 150,000 by July. The M03 has also led China’s A-segment pure-electric sedan sales for 12 consecutive months, consistently delivering over 10,000 units per month since launch.

In September 2025, cumulative deliveries reached 180,000, and the model has recently begun exports to the Middle East and Africa, marking Xpeng’s latest step in its overseas expansion.
According to Xpeng Chairman He Xiaopeng, the MONA M03’s rapid success reflects the creativity and determination of its young team—most of whom were born after 1995. “It’s a gift from young people to their peers,” he said.

Xpeng celebrated the milestone by highlighting that a fleet of 200,000 M03s could stretch from Beijing to Nanjing, or, if discharged simultaneously, could power 1.32 million camping tents—a nod to the model’s popularity among adventurous young drivers.
The MONA M03 was launched on August 27, 2024, with three variants priced between 119,800 CNY and 155,800 CNY (c. $16,900–21,900). Aimed at younger buyers, it is marketed as a “150,000 CNY-class AI vehicle” offering high-end intelligent features at an affordable price.

The model is powered by Xpeng’s advanced EV platform, featuring a drag coefficient of just 0.194, one of the lowest among compact sedans. It delivers up to 620 km CLTC range, and its dual NVIDIA Orin-X chips provide up to 508 TOPS of computing power, enabling L2-level assisted driving with over 20 onboard sensors (including 2 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 7 cameras).
In May 2025, Xpeng introduced the M03 Max, priced from 129,800 CNY (c. $18,300), featuring end-to-end AI-assisted driving powered by large-scale models, further strengthening its competitiveness.
