Xpeng (NYSE:XPEV) launched its brand in Qatar at a December event in Doha, presenting the G9 and G6 as its first models for the market. The company said the P7+ would arrive in Qatar later. The move extends a sequence of Middle East and Africa market initiatives that have included partnerships, new facilities, and expanded service capacity.

Wang Ke, Xpeng’s General Manager for the Middle East and Africa region, said Qatar would serve as a key point for engaging global users and demonstrating the brand’s software and ADAS capabilities. He described Qatar as an anchor market in Xpeng’s regional strategy and a basis for expanded activity across the Gulf.

Earlier in December, Xpeng entered Mauritius through a strategic partnership with Axess Limited. The agreement marked the company’s first step into East Africa. Mauritius serves as both a tourism economy and a transit hub linking Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, offering access to nearby East African and Indian Ocean markets. Xpeng said the cooperation would help the company understand user expectations in markets with differing regulatory and operating environments.

The company is also building regional infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. In the UAE, Xpeng opened a flagship experience center in Abu Dhabi in December. The space is positioned to raise brand recognition and support customer engagement.

In Egypt, Xpeng launched a new showroom and service center in New Cairo. The showroom covers 400 square meters and supports sales and product display functions. The 2,000-square-meter service center is the company’s largest in Egypt and the broader Middle East–Africa region, offering expanded servicing capacity and modern support systems for local owners.

To improve parts availability across the region, Xpeng began operating a Middle East–Africa parts warehouse in Dubai in October. The warehouse stores more than 1,000 components and supplies multiple markets. It supports the G6 and G9 and is organized around a central-distribution model intended to shorten service times.

The sequence of market entries, partnerships, and facility openings suggests Xpeng is shifting from preliminary export-driven activity toward a more structured operating model in the Middle East and Africa. The company has placed emphasis on localized service and logistics foundations before expanding delivery volumes.

As Xpeng continues expanding its regional presence, the focus will likely turn to whether the new infrastructure can support long-term demand across markets with differing policy regimes and consumer patterns.
