XPeng is preparing a new extended-range (EREV) version of its P7+ sedan for launch in 2026, aligning with the company’s announcement on its November 17 earnings call that it will introduce three EREV models in the first quarter of 2026.

On November 29, photos of the P7+ EREV version surfaced online without any camouflaged. The vehicle in the photo aligns with previous exterior photos released by MIIT’s vehicle catalogue.

The exterior retains the design of the pure-electric P7+, with a minimalist front fascia, mostly closed bodywork, split headlamp layout with a full-width LED daytime running light and hidden main headlights. The front also has a two-section active grille for cooling, with ventilation openings on the sides.

Wheel options include 19-inch (235/55 R19) and 20-inch (255/45 R20) designs. The body measures 5071 mm long, 1937 mm wide and 1512 mm tall, with a 3000 mm wheelbase — 15 mm longer than the pure-electric P7+.

The powertrain combines a 1.5 T range extender with 110 kW peak output and a 180 kW electric drive motor; top speed is 200 km/h.

The 49.2 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery enables a pure-EV range of 325 km under CTLC cycle; when the battery is depleted, fuel consumption is 5.3 L/100 km.

At the rear, the car carries new “POWER” badging (for the EREV system) and “ULTRA” badging, denoting three onboard Turing chips with total computing power of 2250 TOPS for the intelligent driving system.

The existing pure-electric P7+ is priced between 186,800 CNY and 208,800 CNY, and the EREV variant is expected to lower the entry-cost threshold for users concerned about range limitations.

XPeng is fully committed to its dual powertrain strategy at an inflection point where consumers are increasingly compelled by a pure electric solution.
