XPeng Rolled Off The 50,000th MONA M03 In 4 Months Since Launch

On December 27, XPeng announced that it has completed the production of 50,000 MONA M03 in 4 months after launch.

XPeng is reportedly accelerating production speed to an average of one new car rolling off assembly line every 72 seconds.

XPeng officially launched the MONA M03 on August 27, 2024 and deliveries began shortly thereafter in September.

According to weekly insurance registrations, XPeng has already delivered a total of 41,809 M03 as of Week 51, ending December 22.

Based on buyer demographics, the MONA M03 appeals strongly to younger people, especially to young women.

M03 owners are predominantly first-tier city dwellers, with women accounting for over 50% of buyers.

The average age of M03 owners is 27.8 years old, much younger than than market average of 33.7 years old.

Earlier in December, Chairman and Founder He Xiaopeng revealed that the MONA M03 had achieved three consecutive months of 10,000 monthly deliveries since launch.

The delivery cycle has also been reduced from 13-17 weeks to 7-11 weeks, stabilizing at 4,000 weekly units sold.

On December 17, XPeng announced that the MONA series had successfully delivered 40,000 units since debut.

However, through the three weeks of December, XPeng has delivered closer to 3,000 M03 per week, having reached a weekly high through Nov. 25 to Dec. 1 with 4,460 delivered before tapering to 3,130 units through the 51st week (Dec. 16-22).

In fact, M03 deliveries have seen a third consecutive week of soft sales decline, dropping by -24% on W49, -3.5% on W50, and -4.3% on W51.

Nonetheless, XPeng continues to deliver strong results with a total of 7,370 units through Week 51, growing from 6,980 in W49 and 7,200 in W50.

XPeng’s total weekly sales have stabilized at over 7,000 units per week since mid-November.
