More spy shots of the new Tesla Model Y codenamed “Juniper” have surfaced, providing a clearer view of the vehicle's front and rear design. The side profile is now fully revealed, showing a familiar, unmasked body.
Based on the camouflage bulges at the front, the facelifted Model Y will likely not feature a full-width light bar at the front. Instead, it will have split headlights similar to the new Model 3 previously codenamed “Highland”.

The side profile retains the hidden door handles and coupe-like silhouette, while the rear features a prominent full-width taillight. The rear camera appears to be integrated into the center of the taillight.
The new Model Y's appeal goes beyond its exterior changes. Domestic consumers are eagerly anticipating upgrades to its intelligent driving capabilities.

Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) system has been upgraded to version 13.2.2 overseas, with CEO Elon Musk claiming a 5-10x improvement in autopilot performance.
According to automotive reviewers, Tesla vehicles equipped with FSD v13.2.2 can activate intelligent driving navigation with a single click while parked.
From start to finish, the vehicle can navigate temporary road closures and reverse without human intervention, achieving true point-to-point autonomous driving.

However, the performance of FSD v13.2.2 in China remains uncertain due to different regulations and road conditions.
Despite the mystery surrounding the new Model Y, reports indicate that Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory has already begun production, with a daily output of up to 2,400 units and an annual production capacity exceeding 750,000 units.
This suggests that the new model may soon be officially unveiled.

Pricing is another key discussion point. FSD will require an additional purchase and the new Model Y is expected to offer improved driving motors and electric range, which will likely warrant a price increase.
Local media speculates that the new Model Y could see a price hike of around 30,000 CNY.

However, current models offer a 10,000 CNY discount on the final payment for rear-wheel drive and long-range all-wheel drive versions if purchased by January 31.
Given that current promotion runs until the end of the month, the much anticipated debut might have to wait until February.
