NIO Delivered A Record Weekly Sales Of 7,500 Units; 12,000 Left To Meet Target

Through the 51st week of 2024 (Dec. 16-22), NIO and Onvo delivered 5,400 and 2,100 vehicles, respectively, for a total of 7,500 deliveries.

Cumulatively, NIO has delivered more vehicles this week than Xiaomi (6,000) and XPeng (7,400).

NIO placed fifth in the emerging NEV brand ranking, behind Deepal (7,600), AITO (7,700), Leapmotor (10,300), and Li Auto (13,900).

The 7,500 vehicles delivered this week represent an all-time record for NIO, improving on W50’s 6.100 deliveries, a 23.2% week-on-week growth.

NIO announced in its Q4 guidance deliveries ranging between 72,000 to 75,000 vehicles.

In October and November, NIO has delivered a total of 41,551 vehicles, implying that to meet the lower guidance, it will need to deliver a minimum of 30,449 units.

Through the first 3 weeks of December (Dec. 2-22), NIO has delivered approximately 18,700 vehicles, more than 12,000 units left to meet guidance.

NIO has one last week (Dec. 23-29) and three days not accounted for (Dec. 1 & Dec. 30-31) in weekly releases, to bridge that gap.

Onvo L60 continues to ramp of deliveries, matching Zeekr 7X weekly sales (2,100 units) for the first time since launch, while only trailing behind the Luxeed R7, which delivered 3,290 units.

Meanwhile, Tesla Model Y remains king of this segment, delivering 12,200 units through the 51st week.

In Shanghai, the competition is much closer with Tesla Model Y selling 765 units and Onvo L60 trailing second with 425 units among electric SUV priced between 200,000 - 300,000 CNY.

Previously, Onvo President Alan Ai had expressed confidence in delivering over 10,000 L60 in December,

However, through three weeks in December (Dec. 2-22), the company has only delivered 5,220 L60.
