NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO / HKG: 9866) completed the delivery of its 40,000th All-New ES8 on December 29, 2025, at its experience center in Zhongshan, Guangdong. The milestone was achieved exactly 100 days after the manufacturer commenced deliveries on September 21, 2024, following the model's official launch on September 20, 2024.

According to data released by NIO, the All-New ES8 set a domestic record for the fastest delivery of 40,000 units among vehicles priced above 400,000 CNY (c. $58,200), regardless of powertrain type. The delivery timeline included reaching 10,000 units in 41 days, 20,000 units in 70 days, and 30,000 units in 89 days. In November 2025, the model recorded 10,689 monthly deliveries, contributing to NIO’s total group delivery of 36,275 vehicles for that month.

The All-New ES8 entered a competitive segment for large, three-row luxury SUVs currently led by the AITO M9. The M9 is a product of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), a Huawei-led ecosystem where Huawei provides full-stack intelligent solutions while partner Seres Group handles manufacturing.
NIO offers the All-New ES8 in three variants with two distinct pricing model. The full purchase price ranges from 406,800 CNY (c. $58,200) to 446,800 CNY (c. $63,900). Customers opting for the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) rental model see a reduced entry price between 298,800 CNY (c. $42,700) and 338,800 CNY (c. $48,500).

Despite a planned production ramp-up to 20,000 units per month by December 2025, the company indicated that new orders placed today would face delivery lead times of 20-21 weeks, extending to May 2026.

Measuring 5,280 mm (208 inches) in length with a 3,130 mm (123 inches) wheelbase, the All-New ES8 is available in six- or seven-seat configurations. The vehicle is built on NIO’s NT3.0 platform and utilizes a 900V high-voltage architecture with a peak voltage of 925V. It features the Aquila Super Sensing System, which includes three LiDAR sensors—one long-range and two wide-angle—alongside 4D imaging radar and a total of 31 sensors.
Processing is handled by the Shenji NX9031, a proprietary 5nm automotive-grade chip, running the SkyOS vehicle operating system. The chassis, marketed as "Shenxing," integrates dual-chamber air suspension and latest-generation ZF external valve CDC dampers.

Performance specifications include a dual-motor four-wheel-drive powertrain delivering a combined 520 kW and 700 N·m of torque. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.97 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph). All variants are equipped with a 102 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC-rated range of 635 km (395 miles). Charging capabilities allow for 5C rates, enabling a range recovery of 250 km (155 miles) in five minutes, or a full battery swap in three minutes.
Interior technology includes a 48-inch Skyline display, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and a 38-inch AR-HUD. Luxury amenities consist of a 27-speaker sound system, a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen, and three "zero-gravity" seats. The vehicle achieves a drag coefficient of 0.256, supported by 13 aerodynamic optimizations.
