NIO received over 9,000 new orders last week, helped by new purchase incentives

On April 14, we learned from Car Fans’ Sun Shaojun (Weibo @孙少军09) that NIO has accumulated over 9,000 new orders last week and deliveries will rise significantly this week.
These 9,000 orders are reportedly only from the NIO brand, predominantly the ET5, ET5T, ES6, and EC6.
Car Fans also revealed order volumes of Li Auto, Leapmotor, and BYD, receiving 9,000, 10,000 and 70,000 orders through last week, respectively.

To facilitate the transition to NT2.5 platform vehicles, NIO has offered very aggressive purchase incentives valid between April 3-30, to buyers of the 2024 ET5, ET5T, ES6, EC6, ET7, EC7, and ES8 models.
NIO is currently offering as much as the equivalent of 44,000 CNY in purchase incentives, including 5-year interest-free financing.

March 2025 deliveries figure left many disappointed as NIO group delivered a total of 15,039 electric vehicles, including 10,219 NIO and 4,820 Onvo cars.
After failing to deliver on the promise of 20,000 Onvo L60 sales for the month of March, former Onvo President Alan Ai announced his resignation and was subsequently replaced by NIO Power Head Shen Fei.

According to Car Fans, the current 9,000 order volume come exclusively from the NIO brand, which is substantially more than the average of 2,020 weekly deliveries.
The company has delivered as much as 6,500 NIO and 4,200 Onvo branded vehicles in a single week, during the last week of 2024.

Despite recent setbacks, NIO delivered its 100,000th vehicle in Shanghai yesterday (April 13), where the company first began delivering the ES8 model in 2018.
This milestone also brings the total number of EV delivered to the region of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai to more than 300,000 units.

Moreover, deliveries of the flagship NIO ET9 began at the end of March and we can expect a refresh of the ET5, ET5T, ES6, and EC6 (5566) on the NT2.5 platform starting in May.
