XPeng breaks record with 10,000 P7+ manufactured in 20 days after launch

In 20 days since the XPeng P7+ debut on November 7, the company has rolled off its 10,000th XPeng P7+, a record pace for any new emerging brands in China.

On November 28, XPeng officially announced that its 10,000th XPeng P7+ has rolled off the assembly line, setting a record pace for mass production by any new emerging brands.

The XPeng P7+ was launched on November 7 with a starting price of 186,800 CNY, which was 23,000 CNY lower than the pre-sales price announced on October 14.

The long-range version with 710 km CTLC range and the limited edition with 685 km range are priced 198,800 CNY and 218,800 CNY, respectively.

In just three hours after launch, the P7+ order volume exceeded 31,528 units, an all-time record at XPeng Motors.

Since the launch of its affordable entry-level XPeng Mona M03 and the XPeng P7+, the company saw its sales jump past emerging brands rankings.

Through week 47 (Nov18 - Nov24), XPeng delivered c. 7,200 vehicles, ranking only behind AITO, Leapmotor, and Li Auto, all of which are predominantly EREV-sales driven.

These results also compares well against its pure electric counterparts, with Zeekr, Xiaomi, and NIO delivering 6,200, 4,600, and 4,000 units through that same period.

XPeng Chairman He Xiaopeng also announced that starting from the 3rd quarter of next year, the Guangzhou factory will become open for public tours, similar to what NIO has done with its F2 plant in NeoPark in Hefei, Anhui province.

He estimates that 3,000 people a day, 1 million a year could visit the plant without affecting production operations and safety.

Currently, XPeng’s Guangzhou plant has started double-shifts production, operating day and night shifts to meet market demand, exacerbated by the debut of Mona M03 and P7+.

The Chairman also predicted that XPeng will deliver over 30,000 vehicles in November, with the P7+ exceeding 10,000 monthly units in December alone.
