The new model aims to build on the strong sales momentum of the MONA M03 sedan, which has already reached over 180,000 units in cumulative deliveries.

The leaked images show the MONA SUV remaining compact in size, with a coupe-SUV profile defined by a sloping roofline from the B-pillar and a small “ducktail” spoiler at the rear.
The front hood features raised sections on both sides, lending a slightly retro feel. Though its lighting elements are still camouflaged, the headlamp and tail-lamp designs appear expected to closely mirror those of the M03.

While the interior has not yet been photographed, the SUV will likely share the minimalist design found in the M03.
On the technical side, XPeng’s MONA SUV is expected to use a single electric motor, similar to the M03. The peak power is estimated at 160 kW, paired with a BYD Blade lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery pack.

Based on the M03’s performance, the SUV’s range is projected to reach around 600 km, or roughly 370 miles, under the CLTC cycle.
Similar to the M03 sedan, the MONA SUV will be positioned as a much more affordable alternative the Tesla’s Model 3/Y.
The M03 is currently priced at just under 120,000 CNY (c. $16,900), which has strengthened expectations that its SUV sibling will maintain aggressive price positioning.

XPeng has already confirmed plans to take the MONA lineup to Europe by 2026, aligning with its broader global rollout.
If XPeng is able to retain the M03’s balance of smart features and low cost, the MONA SUV could extend the brand’s momentum in both China and international markets. Its success may hinge not just on pricing, but on delivering meaningful upgrades in space, intelligence, or range.
