The new vehicle is positioned as a large six-seater SUV, featuring the Kunpeng Super Electric System based on an 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform, equipped with advanced features such as a 5C ultra-fast battery, a hybrid silicon carbide coaxial electric drive, and a silent range extender.

Although the car body is heavily camouflaged, the overall silhouette suggests the vehicle will exceed 5 meters in length, have a 3-meter wheelbase, and feature a traditional SUV design with an imposing and squared design.

The pure electric range of XPeng's extended-range model can reach 430 kilometers supporting ultra-fast charging that adds over 1 kilometer of range per second, and charging to 80% in just 12 minutes.

For long-distance travel, the vehicle's comprehensive range exceeds 1,400 kilometers, comparable to Li Auto EREV models’ CLTC comprehensive ranges (i.e. Li Auto L6 features 1,390 km).

According to the plan, the production version of the new car will be officially released in the second half of 2025.

One of its main selling points will be its cost-effectiveness, with an expected price around 300,000 CNY.

The Li Auto L7 and L8 start at a price of 319,800 CNY and 339,800 CNY, respectively and both measure over 5 meters in length and 3 meters in wheelbase.

Combined with XPeng's industry-leading driver assistance systems (XPilot), this EREV is expected to be popular in China.

XPeng’s last two new vehicle releases have been extremely successful, with the MONA M03 and P7+ priced at 119,800 CNY and 186,800 CNY, respectively.
