BYD achieved a record February: delivering 304,673 vehicles, 167.1% YoY growth

On March 1, BYD announced that it has delivered 322,846 new energy vehicles (NEV) in February 2025, a record sales volume for the second month of the year.

February, like January, is typically a low sales month in the automotive industry, and particularly in China, due to the timing of the Chinese New Year, on top of the seasonality effect of winter.
Of the total February deliveries, 318,233 were passenger vehicles (rest are commercial), representing a year-on-year growth of 161.4%

BYD Dynasty and Ocean series accounted for 304,673 of the passenger vehicles sold, a 167.1% year-on-year growth from the 114,060 units sold last February.
Sub-brands Fangchengbao, Denza, and Yangwang sold 4,942, 8,513, and 105 vehicles, respectively.

BYD’s plug-in hybrid models accounted for c. 60% of total passenger vehicles sold, with the remaining c. 40% being fully electric vehicles.
Export sales grew by 71.9% YoY to 66,300 units, accounting for over 20% of total deliveries in a month, the first time ever.
Europe and Southeast Asia exports contributed to over 70% of overseas sales.
