The refreshed ZEEKR 001 is officially making its debut as pre-orders already began on September 23, 2025, giving customers a head start to secure the electric liftback.

Show cars began arriving at dealerships on October 4, 2025, allowing consumers to experience the new cabin and features firsthand.

The vehicle will officially launch and commence customer deliveries simultaneously on October 11, 2025, with a limited-time pre-sale incentive allowing a 2,000 CNY (c. $300) deposit to convert into a 7,000 CNY (c. $1,000) discount off the final purchase price.

The ZEEKR 001 was once a best-selling vehicle for the brand, consistently selling over 10,000 units monthly, with peaks of over 14,000 units in mid-2024.

However, recent sales figures have tapered significantly, dropping into the 2,000 to 4,000-unit range amidst intensifying competition in China’s electric shooting brake segment.

This decline has been further influenced by sales cannibalization from ZEEKR’s own, more affordable station wagon, the ZEEKR 007 GT.

The 2024 model year ZEEKR 001, which was last refreshed on August 13, 2024, offered various trims, starting from 259,000 CNY (c. $36,300) up to 329,000 CNY (c. $46,100).

With the launch of the new ZEEKR 007 GT station wagon, the 001 became slightly outdated, considering that the 007 GT with the latest tech costs 50,000 CNY (c. $7,000) less, starting at just 202,900 CNY (c. $28,500).

To address both competitive pressure and consumer demands, the ZEEKR 001 has received a major technological overhaul, centered on the new E-powertrain.

The entire series now comes standard with a full-stack 900V architecture, an upgrade from the previous 800V system, enabling faster charging capabilities and greater performance across all variants.

The range-topping All-Wheel Drive model delivers a system power output of 680 kW (925 hp), resulting in a 0-100 km/h acceleration of just 2.83 seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h (c. 174 mph).

The Long Range RWD model sees significant range improvement, achieving a CLTC rating of 810 km (c. 503 miles) with a 103 kWh CATL Qilin battery.

Charging times are notably reduced, with the 95 kWh variant supporting 12C fast charging that can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in as little as seven minutes.

The vehicle’s dynamics are enhanced by the new chassis and the CCD Electromagnetic Damping System, which work in tandem with the Intelligent Magic Carpet Function for optimal comfort and control.

Safety is also a focus with the inclusion of the G-AES (General Obstacle Avoidance) emergency active safety technology, which supports continuous automatic avoidance at speeds up to 130 km/h (c. 81 mph).

The system also features an All-scenario Tire Blowout Protection designed to maintain vehicle stability if a tire fails at speeds up to 120 km/h (c. 75 mph). The driving assistance will also enable parking-to-parking navigation functionality.

The cabin is themed as a “Starry Sky Concert Hall,” an aesthetic and technological experience built around premium materials like Nappa leather and suede.

The interior features a new, larger 16-inch 3.5K central control screen that retains its 30-degree rotation, along with an 8-inch rear control screen.

The immersive experience is completed by a "Dolphin Sound" theater-grade audio system that utilizes 29 speakers and a 4,680W output.

For rear passenger comfort, the seat behind the driver offers power-adjustable leg rest and a 3D deep-layer massage function.

Conversion rate: 1 USD = 7.11974 CNY as of October 4, 2025.
