The Luxeed R7, a new electric SUV from Huawei and Chery, has achieved remarkable success, accumulating over 58,000 orders within 100 days of its launch.
Recent sales data reveals that the Luxeed R7 sold more than 15,000 units last month, making it the best-selling electric SUV priced above 250,000 yuan, and a strong competitor to the Tesla Model Y.
The Luxeed R7's rapid rise in the competitive automotive market can be attributed to its impressive features and value for money.
Huawei's Richard Yu has stated that the R7 is designed with materials, performance, and quality standards typically reserved for vehicles priced at 1 million yuan, and it boasts advanced intelligent driving capabilities.

Despite the high production costs, resulting in a loss of 20,000 to 30,000 yuan per unit sold, Huawei and Chery are banking on future sales volume to offset these losses.
The Luxeed R7 comes with a range of premium features, including Silk Cloud seats, a zero-gravity passenger seat, an integrated sunroof with electric sunshade, a cooler and warmer box, and dedicated drawers for the second-row seats.

It also features Huawei's QianKun intelligent driving system, with the lidar version equipped with Huawei ADS 3.0 for advanced driver assistance from parking spot to parking spot.
The R7 is built on the full-blooded Turing intelligent platform, with air suspension and CDC electromagnetic dampers, a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link all-aluminum chassis, and Huawei's 800V high-voltage platform.
The dual-motor version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, with Brembo high-performance calipers providing a braking distance of 34.7 meters.

The 100 kWh battery pack offers a maximum range of 802 kilometers.
Additionally, an extended-range version of the Luxeed R7 has been filed, featuring a 1.5-liter engine paired with a 36 kWh battery system.
This new model, priced between 249,800 and 289,800 yuan, offers a CLTC pure electric range of 251 km and a combined range of 1,570 km.
