On September 5, Huawei-backed AITO launched an upgraded 2025 version of its M7 SUV and by the next day, the new model had already received 150,000 pre-orders.
During the pre-order launch, AITO revealed that the M7 received 20,000 pre-orders by the 10 minute mark and 100,000 by the first hour.

From now until the official launch on September 23, buyers are incentivized to place a pre-order with a 2,000 yuan deposit as it will reduce the final purchase price by 5,000 yuan.
This level of launch hype (gauged by pre-orders), can only be compared to Xiaomi’s own SUV, the YU7, which received 200,000 pre-orders in 3 minutes.

The volume of pre-orders is all the more impressive considering that the current M7 starts at a lower price of 249,800 yuan.
The upgraded AITO M7 will feature three trims, the Pro+, Max and Ultra, all offered in either extended range (EREV) or battery electric versions (BEV).
The EREV models are priced between 288,800 to 368,000 yuan and the all-electric models will be priced at a premium, between 328,800 to 388,000 yuan.

The BEV variants use a 100 kWh battery pack as standard, providing CLTC ranges of 660 km (AWD) and 710 km (RWD).
The new AITO M7 will feature a 5 and 6-seater versions, all measuring 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height with a 3,030 mm wheelbase (210 mm longer than the current M7).
