Onvo's 2nd model will be the 3-rows SUV L90, not the L80 as previously rumored

on February 21, Onvo President Alan Ai revealed during a livestream with founder of news portal Sohu Charles Zhang that the second model of the sub-brand will be the Onvo L90, instead of the previously rumored L80.

Just last week, a new video of the allegedly camouflaged Onvo L80 surfaced on Weibo, showing the large SUV charging at a Tesla Supercharger.

The Onvo L90 will be the flagship vehicle of the brand, featuring a spacious three-row layout, making it a large SUV catered to Chinese families.

The L90 is scheduled to debut in the second quarter of 2025 and officially go on sale in the third quarter.

Previous photos of the camouflaged vehicle referred to it by the project codename “Blanc”, referring to the highest peak in the Alps, a name quite fitting for what is possibly NIO’s largest vehicle to date.

The L90, just like the fastback L60, will not have a roof-mounted Lidar and instead only feature the the “horn” layout dual cameras for a vision-based driver-assistance system.

NIO’s current flagship SUV is the ES8, first unveiled in December 2017 and is priced between 498,000 to 598,000 CNY.

The Onvo L90 will be benchmarked against two very popular extended-range models: the Li Auto L9 and AITO M9 starting at 429,000 CNY and 469,800 CNY, respectively. Meanwhile, the fully electric version of the M9 starts at 509,800 CNY.
